How Big?
They are proposing 91 turbines, covering 445km², with a height of 340m, making them the tallest in Europe!
If you stacked Big Ben on top of the Forth Rail Bridge and plonked it on top of Edinburgh Castle it would reach the same height as ONE turbine!
Iberdrola are building the array. Their HQ tower in Bilbao is 165m tall, the tallest in the Basque Country but half the height of ONE turbine!
Dogger Bank array in the North Sea is 70 miles offshore with 260m turbines that can not be seen from shore. Machair Wind propose 340m turbines 7 miles from land!
